The Lleida City Council has announced a plan to rehabilitate the Xalet dels Camps Elisis, a Noucentista architectural landmark opened in 1926 that is currently suffering from progressive degradation.

Designed by architects Joaquim Porqueres and Francesc de Paula Morera i Gatell, the building is a prominent example of early 20th-century civil architecture in Lleida. After years of abandonment, the local government aims to restore the site for cultural purposes.
Throughout its century-long history, the venue has hosted a municipal theater, a cafe, and the headquarters of the Federació de Colles de l'Aplec del Caragol (Fecoll). Its last active use was as the River nightclub, which closed on November 10, 2016.
The current structure was built between 1924 and 1936, finishing just before the Spanish Civil War. As part of Lleida's heritage catalog, its recovery is seen as essential for preserving the city's historical and cultural identity.
