The arrival of spring has drawn nearly a thousand visitors to Aitona and Maials this weekend, marking the start of a blossom season brought forward by mild weather.

The town of Aitona, located in the Baix Segre area, launched its Fruiturisme initiative with high attendance. This year marks the project's 15th anniversary, featuring an expanded catalog that includes 150 new hectares of almond trees in bloom.
Favorable weather conditions have shifted the traditional schedule, advancing the natural spectacle by ten to twelve days. The campaign is expected to run until March 22nd, offering visitors access to designated viewing areas.
Meanwhile, Maials celebrated the start of Maials en Flor with a popular 8-kilometer hike. Participants enjoyed the blooming landscapes followed by a tasting of local agricultural products.
