The Citizen Support Office in Lleida experienced a massive influx of migrants this February 14 seeking residency certificates for the Spanish Government's new regularization process.

Crowds gathered at Rambla Ferran since early morning, waiting under the rain to obtain the documents needed to prove five months of residence in Spain, a requirement approved on January 27.
Local Police officers were deployed after 1:00 PM to manage the situation when it became clear that not everyone in line could be processed. Approximately 7,000 people in Lleida are expected to be eligible for this extraordinary measure.
