Mother and daughter injured in pedestrian crossing accident in Lleida

A mother and her daughter sustained minor but serious injuries this Monday, March 2nd, after being struck by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Lleida.

The accident occurred on Joc de la Bola street at a crossing without traffic lights. Emergency services (SEM) deployed three ambulances to the scene shortly before 9:00 AM to assist the victims.
Both patients were transported to the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital. Other traffic incidents were reported across the region, including a head-on collision in Guissona and a vehicle veering off the road on the N-260 in El Pont de Suert.
According to the Catalan Transit Service, 13 people have lost their lives on Catalan roads so far this year. In the Lleida area, two fatalities have been recorded, both occurring in the Noguera region.
