The Red Cross and the Amancio Ortega Foundation have launched the Voices in Network project in Lleida, a technological initiative supporting 319 elderly people to reduce social isolation.

Since 2023, the program has installed 253 voice devices in homes across the province. These tools allow users aged 65 to 90 to easily interact with loved ones, check the weather, or set medication reminders.
The project covers eight regions, including Segrià, Noguera, and Urgell. Statistics show that 268 women and 51 men are currently using the service to stay connected with the outside world.
A team of 50 volunteers provides essential human support, ensuring that technology serves as a bridge to culture and social interaction rather than a digital barrier for the elderly population.
