The Mossos d'Esquadra police force is investigating a suspected arson attack that completely destroyed a restaurant in Plaza Cervantes, Lleida, early Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were alerted at 2:02 AM, and five Fire Brigade units were deployed to the scene. The restaurant, located on the ground floor of an office building, was gutted by the flames. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
This is the second time the business has been targeted in a single week. On February 18, intruders robbed the establishment and started a fire that damaged the warehouse and cafeteria area. This latest blaze was far more destructive, requiring the entire building to be ventilated and preventing access to upper-floor offices.
The Jaume I Neighborhood Association has voiced concerns regarding local security and offered support to the restaurant owners as forensic experts examine the site for evidence of foul play.
