PSC Member of Parliament for Lleida, Neus Comes, emphasized this March the urgent need to pass the new Catalan Government budget to ensure vital regional investments.

According to Comes, relying on the 2023 budget limits the government's ability to respond to current economic and social challenges. The proposed budget reaches 49.162 billion euros, a significant increase from previous years.
The Pyrenees region is set to receive 63.1 million euros, marking a 49% increase in territorial funding. These resources are earmarked for road safety, housing policies, and the modernization of healthcare and education facilities.

"The success of politics consists in understanding well the limits of what is possible."

Nelson Mandela · Historical leader (quoted by Neus Comes)
The deputy called for political negotiation and consensus, stating that a new budget is not a whim but a necessity for the Lleida and Pyrenees areas to thrive.
