The service suspension caught many travelers off guard who arrived at the Lleida-Pirineus station early in the morning. Two employees informed those affected, leading to surprise and resignation. The Gelida accident resulted in the death of a 27-year-old trainee driver and left 37 people injured.
Most users of the RL3, RL4 (passing through Cervera), R13, and R14 lines had to find alternatives on their own. Preferred options included bus services or, for those willing to pay more, high-speed rail to reach destinations like Tarragona or Barcelona.
“"The problem is that everything is delayed."
Among those affected was Mirela Rojas, a tourist from Peru visiting Catalonia, who expressed concern about recent incidents on the network, noting that “all this generates fear, especially because two accidents have happened in a short time.”
Complaints also arose at the Mollerussa station, where users like Manoli reported missing doctor's appointments. Another user, Cristina from Mollerussa, criticized the lack of timely information, stating that local police officers had to place signs informing about the suspension.
