Teachers from the Lleida region have announced a week of protests, including blocking the A-2 highway and a major demonstration in Barcelona on March 20.

The conflict follows a deal between the Catalan Government and the CCOO and UGT unions. The agreement includes a 3,000 euro pay rise over three years, but major unions like USTEC-STEs have rejected it, calling for better systemic improvements.
On Wednesday, March 18, a slow-drive protest involving tractors supported by Revolta Pagesa will cut off the A-2 highway near Alcarràs. This will be followed by a rally at Ricard Viñes Square in Lleida city center.
Several schools, including Minerva and La Segarra institute, have cancelled extracurricular activities and field trips in solidarity. Teachers in Urgell and Segarra remain committed to the industrial action throughout the coming week.
