The Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano, announced that more Rodalies lines will reopen next week, specifically those connecting Lleida with Barcelona and Tarragona.

Santano detailed that the lines affected by this reopening are the R13, R14, and RL4, which cover routes between Lleida and Barcelona and Lleida and Tarragona. The senior official indicated that the entire network will be "practically" operational within two weeks.

The forecast is that by April all temporary speed limitations affecting the Rodalies network will have been eliminated.

Regarding the temporary speed limitations imposed on the network, the Ministry of Transport expects to progressively eliminate all of them before April, thus restoring normal travel times.
In an interview with 2Cat, the Secretary of State stressed that the Rodalies network requires "singular attention" because it is the most complex in the State and the one that suffers most from the impacts of climate change.
Finally, concerning the negotiation with unions to avoid the strike called starting Monday, Santano expressed optimism and confirmed that there have been "advances" in the talks to reach an agreement.
