Lleida's institutes Caparrella, Torre Vicens, and Ronda will introduce new vocational training specializations next academic year to address emerging labor market needs.

Vocational training in Lleida is expanding with new educational programs to be implemented next year at three public institutes: Caparrella, Torre Vicens, and Ronda. These new specializations aim to meet the demands of the labor market in key sectors.
The Ronda institute is notable for introducing a dual higher education degree in Social Integration and Gender Equality Promotion. According to the center's director, Natàlia Iranzo, there is a "significant demand" for awareness in equality matters. This new degree complements the existing Social Integration training, adding value to the role of a social integrator with specific techniques and strategies for addressing equality processes. Internships in companies will be part of the curriculum.
Addressing the shortage of professionals in electrical, water, and gas installations, the Caparrella institute will offer the Training and Insertion Program (FPI) for Auxiliary Installations Assembly. The center's director, Emili Grau, explains that this course is designed for young people needing more tailored training, aiming for direct job placement or access to intermediate vocational cycles. Students will complete 180 hours of internships in sector companies.
Meanwhile, the Torre Vicens institute is introducing the new Basic Degree in Building Renovation and Maintenance. The cycle coordinator, Laura Garasa, points out that this sector has "many career opportunities" but requires qualified personnel. Over two years, students will acquire basic competencies, including a 416-hour internship in companies, considered "very important for gaining close insight into the sector and establishing contact with the world of work".
