Author David Uclés achieved a significant turnout this Tuesday in Lleida, where the presentation of his latest book at the Museu Morera surpassed all attendance forecasts.

The event for the novel La ciudad de las luces muertas was organized by the la irreductible bookstore from Cappont. Led by Anna Sàez, director of SEGRE, the session filled the Museu Morera auditorium, reflecting a growing interest in the author's work since his first visit in December 2024.

"We had to tell more than fifty people that there was no more room. David Uclés could have filled a room with a capacity for 250 people."

The writer's popularity rose following the success of La península de las casas vacías, a 700-page epic blending the Spanish Civil War with magical realism. Uclés, who is currently working on his fifth novel, praised the local support and the word-of-mouth promotion that has defined his career.
