A joint operation by the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Civil dismantled an itinerant criminal group specializing in 25 burglaries in single-family homes across six Spanish provinces, with four individuals arrested in Lleida in February 2026.

The organization, established in a residence in Barcelona, was responsible for 25 counts of aggravated robbery in homes located in Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Álava, Guipúzcoa, and Cantabria. The investigation began in October 2025 following an increase in cases in the Community of Madrid, later detecting their activity in other parts of Spain.
Their modus operandi involved operating at dusk, taking advantage of the owners' absence, and gaining access to the houses by jumping perimeter fences and forcing windows. The group was capable of committing between four and five robberies in a single afternoon during their itinerant "campaigns" lasting up to five days.
The first robbery recorded in Catalonia occurred in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The gang used its own vehicle for travel and focused on stealing easily transportable valuables, such as jewelry, watches, and cash.
The police operation culminated with the arrest of the four group members in Lleida as they returned from the Basque Country. During the arrest, over 6,000 euros in cash were recovered, along with jewelry and other objects valued at over 100,000 euros. They are charged with the 25 criminal acts mentioned, and the investigation remains open.
