Jordi Cortés urges caution at Lleida CF despite good run and leaving relegation zone

The coach stresses that the team must face a "week of maximum demand" with key matches against Vilanova and Vilassar de Mar.

The coach of Lleida CF, Jordi Cortés, has called for prudence and to "keep their feet on the ground" ahead of this Sunday's match against Vilanova, after the team managed to leave the relegation zone.

Lleida CF managed to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time this season thanks to their victory against L'Escala. Despite the improved results, Cortés emphasized the need to maintain focus and not get carried away by momentary euphoria.

"Until we play everyone and close the first round, we won't be able to get a real X-ray of the group. The message is the same as when we were last: don't look at the table and keep improving."

The coach highlighted the team's ability to compete and improve their performance, even under working conditions he described as "appalling". This improvement is based, according to Cortés, on defensive solidity, since "our best way to score points is to keep a clean sheet".
Lleida CF faces a crucial week that could be "exciting". After visiting Vilanova this Sunday, the team will play their postponed match against Vilassar de Mar next Wednesday. Two good results would allow the team to climb positions significantly.

"The club's economic situation does not allow us much margin, so everything might go down to the last days of the market, to see if there is any option then."
