The new agriculture and livestock exhibition, the Agrobiotech Innovation Forum, held in Lleida on November 25, received a very positive assessment from the territorial coordinator of Unió de Pagesos, despite the absence of political leaders.

The new edition of the fair, described as the “palace of the peasantry,” generated high expectations due to its renewed focus and the presence of high-quality stands. The territorial coordinator of Unió de Pagesos in Plana de Lleida highlighted the feeling of novelty, with carpeted aisles and a large influx of visitors with good business prospects.
The event brought together all tractor brands, technological innovation companies, large integrators in the livestock sector, fruit growers' associations, and biocomposting companies, offering everything that farmers need for their daily work. Among the most notable novelties were the presence of autonomous intelligent machines for applying treatments to fields and an automaton dog, which was considered the futuristic attraction of the fair.

"We cannot talk about changes and commit to a new fair, and then not be present when it is inaugurated."

Despite general satisfaction with the content and organization, the coordinator regretted that the inauguration was not presided over by the country's highest authority or the relevant minister. Instead, he thanked Jaume Puy, now former rector of the University of Lleida, for his constant commitment to the agri-food sector and the promotion of new related university degrees.
During the three productive days of the fair, conferences and master classes were held. The words of former minister Pimentel were especially highlighted, praising his positive vision of agriculture, regardless of his political stance. The fair also served as an international meeting point, with the visit of authorities such as the consul of Estonia, representing a company from his country.
