The Patronat de Turisme (Tourism Board) of the Diputació de Lleida (Provincial Council) is participating in the international tourism fair FITUR in Madrid, located within the stand of the Agència Catalana de Turisme (ACT). The main goal is to promote the nature, culture, active tourism, and gastronomy available in the region.
The institutional representation is headed by the President of the Diputació, Joan Talarn, and includes Vice Presidents Juan Antonio Serrano, Rosa Pujol, and Agustí Jiménez, as well as the Director of the Patronat de Turisme, Juli Alegre. Also participating are the Vice President of the Economic Promotion Board, Jordi Verdú, and deputies Xavier Palau and Joan Simeón.
The promotion at FITUR aims to consolidate the position of the Terres de Lleida as a key destination for nature and active tourism.
One of the central events scheduled by the Patronat de Turisme is the presentation this Thursday at 2:40 PM, focused exclusively on the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. This natural area, the only one in Catalonia, commemorated its 70th anniversary last year.
During the event, the new promotional video for the National Park will be screened, featuring Talarn, Serrano, and the Director of the National Park, Lluís Florit. The Patronat has already made the complete dossier of the region's tourist offer available.
