Amateur volleyball player Pau Banda, 48, continues to compete in Primera Catalana with Inef Lleida, maintaining an essential sports routine since his youth.

Pau Banda, an IT professional, has been involved in volleyball since he was 10 years old and has been continuously federated since he was 15. He currently competes in Primera Catalana with Inef Lleida, describing the sport as a “distraction that liberates you,” which has become an indispensable routine.
His amateur career includes teams such as the defunct Almacelles, Torrefarrera, Lleida, Inef, Sant Esteve Sesrovires, and Balàfia, where he reached the Primera Nacional level. Throughout his career, he has accumulated nine promotion phases.

"As long as my body holds up, I can score points, and I have fun, I will keep playing."

The key to his sporting longevity is never having suffered a serious injury. Although he has had to adapt his playing style—“I don't jump like I used to, but I rely on resources”—his goal is clear: to turn 49 and reach 50 still playing, viewing volleyball as a way of understanding free time and life.
