Empty regional train tracks or a Rodalies train stopped at a station in Camp de Tarragona or Lleida.

The Minister of Territori, Sílvia Paneque, announced this Saturday the full restoration of the Rodalies R13, R14, and RT1 lines connecting Camp de Tarragona and Lleida after weeks of disruption due to construction work.

The complete reopening of these three regional lines in the south and west of the country ends a period during which part of the route had to be covered by road due to ongoing works. The R13 connects Barcelona with Valls and Lleida, while the R14 links Barcelona, Reus, and Lleida. The RT1 operates between Tarragona and the La Plana-Picamoixons station.

"These reopenings represent an improvement in mobility for about 4,000 people."

During the weeks of interruption, R13 users had to take a bus for the section between Sant Vicenç de Calders (Baix Penedès) and Vinaixa (Garrigues). R14 travelers used the same bus service to cover the route from Reus to Vinaixa, which also supplemented the RT1 line.
The Minister highlighted that the recovery of the railway service represents a "new step forward in the stabilization of the Rodalies system." It is estimated that the reopening of the R13 will benefit 1,200 daily passengers, the R14 will serve 2,400 travelers, and the RT1 will cater to about 450 people per day.
