The distribution company Transgourmet Ibérica opened 30 new franchised supermarkets across eight autonomous communities between January and November 2025, creating over 130 jobs.

The latest additions occurred during October and November, with the launch of seven new establishments. These openings correspond to four Suma supermarkets and three Kuups, totaling 1,525 square meters of commercial space and generating over twenty jobs.
The new Suma outlets are located in the Community of Madrid and the provinces of Valencia, Huelva, and Lleida. Regarding the Kuups establishments, resulting from the alliance with Nudisco, they continue their expansion in the Levante area, with two openings in Alicante and one in Valencia.

Transgourmet's growth strategy is consolidated in proximity supermarkets located in urban, coastal, and rural areas.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has inaugurated a total of 22 Suma, five Kuups, and three Spar establishments. Catalonia and the Valencian Community concentrate eight openings each, followed by the Balearic Islands (six), Andalusia, the Canary Islands, and the Community of Madrid (two each), and finally Aragon and Navarre (one).
This period of growth coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Suma brand, which opened its first supermarket in Barcelona in 2000. Currently, Suma has a presence in 13 autonomous communities and operates more than 300 supermarkets.
