Two more arrests in Lleida for the brutal beating that left a man in a coma

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested an 18-year-old and a minor in Lleida for their alleged involvement in the brutal beating of a 37-year-old man on November 23.

The arrests took place this Wednesday, adding to the previous detention of another minor carried out on November 27. All three detainees are accused of attempted homicide.

The incident occurred in the early hours of November 23, around 2:18 a.m., when a group of youths violently assaulted the 37-year-old victim on Carrer Sant Martí in Lleida, an area known locally as the Vins pub zone.
Agents from the ABP Segrià Investigation Unit took charge of the case. Police work continued after the first arrest to identify the remaining individuals involved. Furthermore, the police confirmed that one of the minors arrested on Wednesday is also allegedly linked to a violent robbery committed recently on Avinguda Alcalde Porqueres.
The two individuals detained this week were placed at the disposal of the duty investigating court in Lleida and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office for the relevant proceedings.
