An elevator at the University of Lleida's Cappont campus was flooded last Wednesday, turning into a waterfall, due to the accumulation of rainwater in a gutter.

The incident occurred at the library of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL) Cappont campus on Wednesday, January 22. The direct cause of the flooding was the excessive accumulation of rainwater in one of the building's drainage gutters, according to institutional sources.

"The water was rainwater, it accumulated in one of the building's gutters, ended up reaching the elevator shaft, and the incident is currently being repaired."

This accumulation caused the water to filter heavily, flooding part of the installation and making the elevator appear like a waterfall. UdL sources confirmed that the origin of the problem was exclusively meteorological and that technical services are working to restore normal operation.
