Emergency services launched a search operation this Thursday morning for a 70-year-old resident of Fraga who went missing last night near the Massalcoreig path after a minor motorcycle accident.

The search began after the man called relatives and the 112 emergency number to report that he had suffered a minor accident with his motorcycle while traveling on the Camí de Massalcoreig, the road connecting Fraga and La Granja d'Escarp, and that he would continue the journey on foot.
The operation, activated on Thursday morning, mobilizes four units from the Mossos d'Esquadra and eight from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters), including the drone unit, to cover the Catalan side of the search area.
The Guardia Civil is also actively participating in the tracking efforts, focusing on the area corresponding to the autonomous community of Aragón, given the search zone's proximity to the border.
The coordination center for all emergency units has been established at the Sotet de Fraga pavilion. Anyone who can provide information is asked to contact the Guardia Civil at 974 470 315.
