After its initial run in Blanes, the festival moved to Lloret de Mar, where it celebrated its tenth edition in 2023. Now, Birrasana returns to its origins to host its eleventh edition, offering a combination of craft beer, gastronomy, and music.
Twelve craft brewers, from Catalonia, various parts of Spain, and Europe, will participate in the event. Among the exhibitors are names such as Dougall’s, Garage, Brasserie Galibier, Pirata Brewing, Kälibu, Engorile, Bierboi, Maresme, Màger Brew, Moska, Clúster Craft Beer, and the local brewery Cervesa Marina.
Entry to the venue is free, but to consume, attendees must purchase a pack that includes a reusable official glass. Subsequent drinks can be bought directly from the producers' stands.
The festival's program extends beyond beer, featuring a supervised children's play area, itinerant shows, and family activities. On Friday, there will be a spinning top workshop with Alan de la Risa, and on Saturday, a clown show by Catástrofer.
Music performances will begin at 8 PM. On Friday, The Rockin’ Project and Sin City (an AC/DC tribute) will perform. On Saturday, local artists J. Keane and Mark Wieding will present an electronic music set.
A food truck zone will complement the gastronomic offerings with international cuisine and gluten-free options.
On Saturday midday, the Town Hall's Plenary Hall will host a pairing of cuisine and craft beer, led by Jordi Àvila and Pep Nogué. This activity will incorporate products recognized by the Girona Excel·lent food quality seal and will have limited capacity.
Birrasana will be open from 12 PM to 1 AM on both Friday and Saturday.
