The town of Lloret de Mar recorded a total of 101,625 visitors linked to sports tourism throughout 2025, highlighting the success of its strategy to attract visitors outside the summer season.

According to the Sports Tourism Working Group, the municipality hosted nearly 500 activities, including training camps and 90 major events. Key sports such as football, swimming, and athletics drew significant international crowds from across Europe.
Looking ahead to 2026, local authorities have allocated 1.2 million euros to upgrade sports facilities. This investment marks the 20th anniversary of the town's official certification as a specialized sports destination in Catalonia.
