The Maresme and Selva Health Corporation has expanded its local healthcare network in Lloret de Mar by opening a new unit focused on sexual and reproductive health.

This new facility at the CAP Doctor Agustí Cabañas is part of the Carretera Program, an initiative active since 1997. It specifically targets individuals engaged in prostitution, providing them with essential medical and social support in the Selva region.
Throughout 2024, the program has assisted 254 individuals, most of whom face significant social exclusion. The expansion aims to bridge the gap between vulnerable populations and the public health system, ensuring better preventive care.
