The modernization of the Local Cultural de Valls Guixers was made possible thanks to a PUOSC subsidy amounting to 210,000 euros. The building has undergone a radical transformation, evolving from “little more than four walls” into a soundproofed and climate-controlled space, equipped for multiple uses.
“"Guixers will be able to aspire to organize more cultural activities, because until now it was very difficult since we did not have a prepared space. Now we will have a fixed stage and we can hold concerts, debates, screenings, or theater."
The mayor, Jordi Selga, detailed that the renovation included soundproofing the upper section, installing a screen and projector for cinema, a sound system, LED lighting, new services, and a system to partition the hall to create smaller spaces.
The works also included cladding the building to ensure energy efficiency. Additionally, cabinets were installed to store tables and chairs, and movable bars were added for events.
The official inauguration will take place on Saturday the fifteenth starting at five in the afternoon. The event will include a children's activity, the institutional premiere, and concerts featuring the groups Sal i Pebre, Els Trinxats de Berga, and Arç Blanc, along with a popular burger meal.
