The Grup de Natura del Solsonès has called on Solsona City Council to increase transparency and sensitivity regarding the conservation of urban trees this March.

The environmental group issued a statement following recent tree felling in the town. They argue that urban trees are a vital green infrastructure necessary to combat climate change and improve public health in Solsona.

"Urban trees are an investment in the future: they not only improve the landscape but also directly contribute to health and sustainability."

The group urges the local government to clearly explain the reasons behind tree removals in squares and riverbanks. They have also submitted a project to the participatory budgets titled River and City, focusing on biodiversity at the Negre River.
