The Lleida Provincial Council is investing over 814,000 euros to build a roundabout and enhance road safety on the LV-4241 crossing in Solsona, near the Vinyet school.

The project, driven by the Technical Services area of the Diputació de Lleida, focuses on the section of the LV-4241 road between kilometer points 0+000 and 0+300, with a total budget of 814,740.31 euros.
The main intervention is the construction of a roundabout at the intersection with the C-462z, which is crucial for regulating traffic and reducing vehicle speed entering Solsona. Furthermore, a complete renewal of the pavement will be carried out, including milling the existing surface and subsequent paving with hot bituminous mixture.

"This action responds to the need to adapt the crossing for a more urban and safe use, prioritizing the protection of pedestrians and the school environment."

The project also improves sustainable mobility by extending existing sidewalks and creating a bike lane on the right side of the crossing. To ensure safety, raised pedestrian crossings will be installed, and the public lighting network will be renewed, transitioning to LED technology, improving energy efficiency.
