Solsona kicks off Carnival with the arrival of the Carnival Queen

The city of Solsona officially began its Carnival celebrations this Fat Thursday with the arrival of the Carnival Queen and the 50th anniversary of the Patinfanjàs orchestra.

Carme Castells, a prominent member of the Centre Excursionista del Solsonès, was revealed as this year's Queen at the portal del Pont. Following a firework display, she paraded to the plaça Major to receive the city keys from Mayor Judit Gisbert.

The night featured a special performance by the Patinfanjàs orchestra, celebrating 50 years of music. The group performed traditional songs like A Solsona bona gent, marking the start of seven days of festivities in the Solsonès region.
