The municipalities of Baix Gaià activated a management agreement with Torredembarra on January 27 to coordinate tourism promotion, setting the first actions for 2026.

The management agreement, which involves the municipalities of Altafulla, El Catllar, Creixell, la Nou de Gaià, la Pobla de Montornès, Renau, la Riera de Gaià, Roda de Berà, Salomó, Vespella de Gaià, and Tarragona, along with the Torredembarra City Council, came into effect on January 27.
This new collaboration formula, which has been developed for nearly six years, assigns the Torredembarra City Council the responsibility of managing all promotional and tourist information activities for the Baix Gaià region. The agreement has an initial validity of four years to streamline cooperation.

The objective is to consolidate and enhance Baix Gaià as a quality tourist destination, improving coordination among all the municipalities involved.

The first coordination meeting, held upon the agreement's entry into force, defined the immediate actions for 2026. These include creating a photographic archive and producing a promotional video to boost the region's presence on social media. Subsequently, a manager will be hired to coordinate these tasks.
The agreement also outlines future initiatives for the following years, such as publishing a tourist catalog, improving and adapting the Ronda Verda del Baix Gaià route, and implementing gamified itineraries, among other promotional efforts.
