The Rovira i Virgili University and BAU Design College signed an affiliation agreement this Thursday in Tarragona to launch new joint academic programs.

Through this alliance, BAU will provide expertise in Design and Fine Arts, while URV will grant official university status to the degrees. The collaboration focuses on research and interdisciplinary teaching within the fields of architecture and creative arts.

"This alliance allows us to make a qualitative leap and expand the range of studies and research in architecture and arts."

Josep Pallarès · Rector of URV
The rollout will begin in the 2026-27 academic year with lifelong learning courses. Official undergraduate and master's degrees, along with the PhD program, are scheduled to start in 2027-28.
