The victim had been missing since Wednesday afternoon after failing to return from a kayak trip. While Salvamento Marítimo located the empty vessel drifting at sea shortly after the alarm was raised, the body was not found until divers inspected the seabed today.

The remains were taken to the Port of Tarragona for judicial procedures. An autopsy will be conducted at the local mortuary to determine the cause of death and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
