Civil Protection has confirmed that the Inuncat Plan alert remains active due to the forecast of local torrential rains in Camp de Tarragona and the Ebro Delta during the evening and night.

The Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC) warns that over 40 liters per square meter could be exceeded in just 30 minutes, activating a danger level of 4 out of 6 for the intensity of the rain. Furthermore, accumulations of over 60 liters per square meter in three hours are expected in these same areas, with level 3 out of 6 warnings. The storms could be accompanied by hail, strong wind gusts, and squalls, following yesterday's intense rains which left hailstones of about three centimeters in various parts of Catalonia.
According to the latest forecasts from the SMC, showers could begin to affect Camp de Tarragona and its surroundings from 8 PM this Friday. During the early morning, storms are expected to move towards the sea and re-enter the interior through the Ebro Delta area, where very intense rainfall is anticipated on Saturday morning. For Saturday afternoon, the SMC does not rule out the possibility of strong showers in the southern counties of Catalonia.
The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has announced that widespread river overflows are not anticipated. However, it is warned that water accumulations could cause sudden rises in streams, torrents, and ravines. The ACA also does not rule out localized impacts on streams and roads that cross the beds of areas affected by the intense showers.
