Emergency calls in Camp de Tarragona rise by 3% in 2025

The 112 emergency service handled over 186,000 incidents, with health and security being the main concerns.

The 112 emergency number managed a total of 186,387 operational calls in the Camp de Tarragona region throughout 2025, marking a 3% increase from the previous year.

This figure represents the highest volume of activity in recent years, showing a 16% growth since 2021. Calls from this region accounted for 7% of the total emergency traffic in Catalonia.
Medical assistance was the primary reason for calling (33%), followed by public safety (32%) and traffic incidents (16%). The Mossos d'Esquadra police force received the highest number of dispatches, totaling nearly 100,000 alerts.
Geographically, 55% of the calls originated from the Tarragonès district. Peak activity days were linked to major wildfires in Fontscaldes and Roda de Berà during August, as well as the Sant Joan midsummer celebrations.
