The International Catalan Film Festival (FIC-CAT) has opened the call for its Youth Contest 2026 to promote emerging talent in Roda de Berà, with free registration available until March 18.

The initiative, which seeks to boost the creativity of young audiovisual creators, accepts individual or collective participants with a maximum age limit of 35 years. Each applicant may submit a single production, with a maximum duration of three minutes, which must be entirely in the Catalan or Aranese language.
Although the theme and genre are open, the works must include specific premises that will be made public on March 19, coinciding with the start of the contest. The festival does not accept advertising or tourism pieces, nor those generated totally or partially with artificial intelligence.

FIC-CAT reaffirms its commitment to promoting emerging talent and the dissemination of Catalan cinema, consolidating Roda de Berà as a meeting point for young audiovisual talent.

Free registration is open from February 2 until March 18. The selected works will be publicly screened on June 7 at the Teatre del Casino Municipal de Roda de Berà. The jury will award the Prize for the Best Production of the Youth Contest, endowed with 300 euros and a trophy, with the final verdict during the closing gala on June 13.
