The Department of Business and Labour has launched a new call to promote the creation of business projects by young people aged 18 to 29 who wish to become self-employed. Initially funded with 9.6 million euros, the budget has been increased to 14.4 million, with 40% financing from the European Social Fund Plus of the European Union.
The subsidy amounts to 17,094 euros, equivalent to the interprofessional minimum wage (SMI), and will be granted to young people who start an economic or professional activity as self-employed. This activity must be maintained uninterruptedly for a minimum of 18 months. The application period opens this Tuesday at 9:00 AM and closes on September 22nd at 2:00 PM.
Of this total budget, 370,000 euros have been reserved for young people with fiscal residency in municipalities of less than 500 inhabitants, a figure that could increase to 550,000 euros depending on the planned budget deployment.
