The province of Tarragona will face a new day marked by intense heat this Wednesday, July 8, with maximum temperatures possibly reaching 36 degrees Celsius inland.

The province of Tarragona is bracing for another summer day this Wednesday, with high temperatures but generally not exceeding recent records. AEMET forecasts stable conditions with mostly clear skies and no significant precipitation.
Along the coast, cities like Tarragona, Salou, or Cambrils will see highs around 30-31 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures will remain between 22 and 24 degrees, leading to tropical nights, and high humidity will intensify the muggy feeling.
Inland, particularly in regions such as Ribera d'Ebre, Terra Alta, Priorat, or Conca de Barberà, thermometers could easily exceed 34 degrees Celsius, reaching 35 or 36 degrees Celsius at times during the afternoon.
Winds, coming from the sea and predominantly from the southeast, will be light to moderate. They will slightly moderate coastal temperatures in the afternoon, though without significantly alleviating the overall warm conditions.
Authorities are reiterating the importance of taking extreme precautions, especially for the elderly, vulnerable groups, and those engaged in outdoor activities. They also remind the public of the high risk of forest fires affecting the region.
