Storm Harry, designated by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), began dropping continuous and generous rain across the province of Tarragona starting the early hours of Saturday, January 17, registering notable amounts without causing major structural damage.

The storm, originating from a Depression Isolated in High Levels (DANA) over the Mediterranean, was particularly active in the northern districts of the province. The Constantí station recorded the highest figure in all of Catalonia with 85.2 liters per square meter by 6:30 PM on Saturday.
Other municipalities with significant accumulations included Blancafort, in the Conca de Barberà, and the city of Tarragona itself, both exceeding 71 liters. Notable records were also seen in Prades (69.8 l/m²) and the Siurana reservoir (67.1 l/m²), helping to reactivate streams and ravines.
Regarding incidents, the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) responded to 46 calls across Catalonia until noon, 26 of which were concentrated in the province of Tarragona. Most were due to water accumulation, landslides, and fallen trees, including an electric pole that temporarily forced the closure of the R15 railway line between Móra la Nova and Ascó.
The intensity of the storm is expected to continue over the next few days, with a forecast of increasing activity until Tuesday, January 20, keeping the pre-alert for the Protecció Civil INUNCAT plan active.
