The Mossos d'Esquadra have incorporated 182 units of the Cupra Terramar into their patrol vehicle fleet, enhancing operational capacity with plug-in hybrid SUVs.

These new vehicles are plug-in hybrid SUVs, specifically designed to meet the demands of police service. They are equipped with the necessary signaling and safety systems for officers' tasks.
EcoAuto was responsible for the vehicle modifications, adapting the interior to facilitate the officers' work. Features include dedicated space for police equipment, a partition in the rear seats for transporting detainees, and an integrated communication and display system.
The Cupra Terramar models also feature emergency LED lighting modules distributed across the roof and other body points, along with a deployable light panel for transmitting messages to other drivers.
These units are the plug-in hybrid version of the SUV, delivering up to 272 HP and an electric range of up to 116 kilometers. This variant qualifies for the DGT's Zero Emissions label.
The most powerful hybrid Terramar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 km/h. The Generalitat has not yet disclosed the total cost for the 182 acquired units.
