Nàstic de Tarragona secured their spot in the Copa Catalunya semifinals on Wednesday, January 14, after defeating Montañesa in a penalty shootout (2-4) following an epic match.

Coach Cristóbal Parralo fielded a team mainly composed of reserve and youth players. The Tarragona side was reduced to ten men in the first half due to the expulsion of goalkeeper Fuidias. Despite this setback, they managed to come back from a 2-0 deficit.
The match, played on January 14, was highly competitive. After Cabezas narrowly missed a goal in the first half, the goals arrived in the second half. Montañesa capitalized on their numerical advantage thanks to Elhadji, who scored the 1-0 in the 76th minute and extended the lead to 2-0 four minutes later.

Nàstic's reaction capability was crucial in forcing the penalty shootout.

Nàstic did not give up. Aguzzi narrowed the gap in the 89th minute, and Ruxi, in the 90+8, achieved the two-all draw that led the game to penalties, where the 'grana' team proved more effective, winning 2-4.
