The Provincial Council of Tarragona, together with the ten county councils, has completed Employment Plans with forest and urban interventions in 145 municipalities within the province, aimed at improving the employment prospects of the unemployed.

The initiatives include tasks such as forest clearing, path cleaning and improvement, as well as the conditioning and maintenance of riverbeds and public works on municipal buildings and facilities.
These plans, part of the Provincial Council's Employment Promotion Plan, have enabled the hiring of 50 individuals (five per county: one supervisor and four laborers) and incorporate complementary training to enhance their personal and professional skills.
The total investment allocated by the Provincial Council of Tarragona for these projects amounts to approximately 1.5 million euros. Since 2013, these plans have become a key tool for creating localized employment opportunities.
