The R13 commuter line was cut on Sunday, February 8, 2026, between Valls and Salomó (Tarragonès) following the breakdown of a freight train early in the morning.

The circulation cutoff occurred around 8:45 AM, affecting the section between the Valls and Salomó stations. In response, the operator RENFE has activated an alternative road transport plan.
This alternative road service covers the route between the La Plana-Picamoixons and Salomó stations, aiming to minimize the impact on R13 line passengers.
This incident comes just one day after the Minister of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition, Sílvia Paneque, announced the full restoration of service on the R13, R14, and RT1 commuter lines.
In addition to the cut on the R13, the Tarragona railway network is also experiencing other issues. The R2 Sud line is accumulating average delays of twenty minutes due to speed restrictions, and the R16 is suffering delays of up to forty minutes.
