The Salou City Council has published the tender process to contract the construction of a new module at the Municipal Cemetery. This initiative stems from the council's need to meet the high demand for individual niches in the locality.
The project involves the execution of module number 7, a three-story structure that will house a total of 45 niches, approximately fifteen per floor. The work has a total planned budget of 371.900 euros, financed entirely by the Salou City Council itself.
It is estimated that the construction will be completed within three months once the works have been awarded. The affected area will be the corner of the Cambrils road with the Camí de les Escomes, where the necessary earth movements and construction will take place.
According to the municipal report, the construction design will utilize materials such as galvanized steel, Corten steel, and Sénia stone, aiming to optimize execution costs while ensuring low future maintenance expenses.
