More than 250 participants celebrated the 19th Baixada del Pajaritu this Saturday, February 14th, in Tarragona, a soapbox race defined by social satire and creative humor.

The Baixada de la Peixateria and Cós del Bou street once again hosted one of the most iconic events of the Tarragona Carnival. A total of 14 handmade vehicles covered the 166-meter course in the city's Part Alta district.
The event was noted for its rebellious spirit. The 'Paqui Palla' award for the most critical entry went to Eclipse, which used the slogan 'Colapsem el Montsant' to protest against mass tourism. Meanwhile, Zumba que Zumba won the 'Fer-ho maco' award for their artistic display regarding invasive hornets.
In the performance categories, Papagayo del Pajaritu won the best descent award, while La Revolta Veda took home the prize for the most spectacular crash, presented by the Carnival Queen and Concubine.
