The National Statistics Institute (INE) reported on Friday that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Tarragona stood at 2% during February.

This figure marks a 0.1% decrease from January. These statistics do not yet account for the economic impact of the conflict in Iran, which began in early March.
The decline was largely fueled by a 1.9% drop in electricity, gas, and fuel prices. Conversely, alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by 5,2%, while food prices increased by 3.1%.
Housing costs also saw an upward trend, with rents in Tarragona rising by 1.8% and water bills increasing by 1.4% over the last year.
