The Tarragona City Council aims to begin the restoration of the Quinta de Sant Rafael, a landmark modernist building, before the end of 2026 following a budget agreement.

Located in the Parc de la Ciutat, the building was designed in 1912 by architect Juli Maria Fossas i Martínez. The total investment for the project is estimated at 1.2 million euros, with 800,000 euros already secured in the 2026 municipal budget.
The project focuses on recovering the ground floor's modernist features and adapting the upper floor for administrative and cultural activities. This Local Cultural Heritage site has been abandoned for decades and will now be transformed into a community hub.

"Quinta de Sant Rafael is one of the most valuable chapters of our modernist heritage, finally leaving the list of abandoned projects."
