Tarragona's Moll de Costa closes 2025 with a record 143,936 participants

The Moll de Costa (Coastal Wharf) of the Port of Tarragona closed the 2025 year with resounding success, registering 260 activities and exceeding 143,900 participants, consolidating its role as the city's cultural and sports hub.

The activity balance for the Moll de Costa during 2025 confirmed its position as one of the main axes of leisure and cultural activity in Tarragona. A total of 260 activities were registered, gathering 143,936 participants, a figure that reinforces the area not only as the 'Rambla of Culture' but also as a sports epicenter.
Regarding the cultural aspect, the exhibition spaces – Tinglado 1, Tinglado 2, and Refugi 1 – offered 25 shows covering plastic arts, sculpture, photography, and historical dissemination, receiving 32,584 visitors. Highlights included El peix no cau del cel by Nuri Mariné, Big Parade. La processó d'hivern by Ignasi Blanch, Lo que dicen las piedras by Nu Díaz, and Fars i balises by Josep Poblet. Furthermore, the SCAN photography festival used the Moll de Costa as its main stage.
The outdoor spaces hosted 40 social, cultural, and musical activities, attracting 29,035 people. Thirteen of these were sports events, including the Tarragona Half Marathon and the Cursa de Sant Silvestre. Additionally, the port domain spaces in El Serrallo added 55 activities, such as Habaneras, concerts, and the main festivities of Sant Pere and El Carme, gathering 26,505 participants.
Among the most crowded events, the Christmas program drew nearly 20,000 people, notably the Magatzem Reial (Royal Warehouse) with 8,000 attendees and the arrival of the Three Wise Men of the East with over 3,000. The Moll de Costa was also the venue for the second edition of the digital culture festival Now Fest, which gathered 2,500 people at Refugi 1 on September 26 and 27, and concentrated the activities of the first weekend of the historical reenactment festival Tarraco Viva, attracting 14,335 visitors.
Finally, other Port facilities also recorded significant figures during 2025. The Port Museum totaled 27,996 visitors, the Port Archive received 571 people across its 14 cultural activities, and the Teatret del Serrallo hosted 97 small-format events with 5,644 attendees.
