The actor and comedian Edu Soto will be the town crier for the Salou Winter Festival, emphasizing the responsibility of the act and requesting maximum participation from residents to make the celebration possible.

The artist expressed his excitement about being chosen as town crier, an honor he has not yet had in his own city. For Soto, giving a proclamation “is not simply doing a monologue, it is going to a party, a source of town pride.” He added that he feels like an “adopted son” of the city of Salou thanks to the familiar atmosphere created there.

"I ask the people of Salou to join me because without them there is no party. No matter how much I am there, if I am alone, the proclamation makes no sense."

After the proclamation, the Envelat de Salou will host his show Más vale solo que ciento volando, a monologue that has been touring for 14 years. Soto describes the work as a “custom-made” show designed to make people laugh, featuring a lot of improvisation, music, and choreographies, offering “an hour of recreation.”
Regarding his career, Edu Soto is currently in a moment of “great tranquility” thanks to his touring monologues, which provide stability. He also recalled 'El Neng de Castefa' as “a spark that created a very large and beautiful bonfire,” although he is now focused on music with his band, with whom he has released the album Welcome Lemi.
