The municipality of Salou will celebrate the first Festa de l'Oli on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Plaça de la Pau, promoting the value of local extra virgin olive oil.

The event, starting at 10:30 AM, aims to highlight extra virgin olive oil as an identity product that is healthy and closely linked to Mediterranean culture. It is organized by the Salou City Council, through the Economic Dynamization Area and Salou Food Experience.
One of the central moments will be the popular tasting of oil made from olives harvested from millenary and centenary olive trees located in the municipal public space. This natural heritage is an element of memory, sustainability, and local identity that the council preserves.
The program includes activities for all audiences, featuring live music by Lola Van, and popular culture performances, such as the Gegants de Salou (Giants of Salou) and the participation of the Associació Sal-i-Ou. There will also be bouncy castles and children's activities.
The initiative is supported by the Siurana Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) and is part of the municipal strategy to promote local products and quality gastronomy, strengthening the municipality's calendar of gastronomic activities.
