David Loras, a key player for CB Tarragona (CBT), reflected on the team's great start to the season, which currently keeps them fighting for a top 3 spot in the Tercera FEB. He admitted that, although they did not expect to be so high up, the confidence shown by coach Toni Larramona and hard work are paying off.
“"Our best motivation is the fans feeling proud of our game."
The player explained that his return to CBT was quickly forged this summer after a call from Larramona, who showed great confidence in the project. This return follows a “difficult” season at CB Valls, where, despite everything, he regained good sensations after a severe knee injury.
On a personal level, Loras has stepped up, becoming the player with the most total rebounds in his group. He attributes this improvement to focusing on “the things that depend on me,” such as rebounding and character on the court, feeling more mature and capable of controlling emotions during games.
Loras also highlighted the Tarragona DNA of the team, sharing the court with players like Marc Buscail, David Fernández, and Adrià Duch, with whom he has great chemistry. This local base is crucial for connecting with the fans and the young players in the academy.
